Voice-controlled ChatBot (Mia) at the Customer Portal (2022)

The application was developed by Idomsoft Zrt for the Hungarian government. ChatRobot’s speech technology TTS and ASR elements were developed by BME TMIT SmartLab and SpeechTex Kft. for the order of Idomsoft Zrt. The dialog control was supplied by ELTESoft Kft. The pilot system was already in operation in 2022. The number of Government Customer Line inquiries has increased significantly since 2020, due to the Covid-19 epidemic. The Mia chatbot application is a customer service information support tool. It is the first version of a new, modern and up to date solution that also uses automatic speech recognition and text-to-speech conversion. Mia is a real speech conversation partner. You can choose a male or female synthesised voice. Built on artificial intelligence, the ChatBot system can efficiently handle simultaneous, repetitive, and bulky requests without logging in. Voice responses can be heard in the realisation of the Profivox-HMM speech synthesizer which reads automatically the text of the answer in the blue parts of the screen. Hearing these answers make communication more secure and understandable for many people.
