2From the spring of 2023, you can call Elvira Robot, Hungarian railway’s (MÁV’s) voice-based conversational robot assistant, which provides verbal information about the domestic schedule and ticket prices to the caller over phone. The robot asks questions, understands and interprets human speech and gives the answer using a Hungarian speech synthesizer. This artificial intelligence-based development is entirely the work of Hungarian specialists. The language text component (text interpretation and text generation) was developed by Clementine Kft., the automatic speech recognition and speech synthesis components were designed and created by BME TMIT SmartLab engineers.
