The first version of this website was announced in 2010 as http://magyarbeszed.tmit.bme.hu after the publication of the book THE HUNGARIAN SPEECH - speech research, speech technology, speech information systems.
That website was maintained by the Department of Telecommunications and Media Informatics (TMIT) of BME, Hungary between 2010 and 2017. However between 2017 and 2021, the website was unavailable due to technical and administrative reasons.
In 2022, the website was reopened as http://magyarbeszed.hu. It has a new format and refreshed content from its new owners, maintainers and developers:

- dr. Kálmán Abari (abari.kalman@gmail.com).
The speech researchers of BME TMIT SmartLab and their research results are still closely related to this new website. They participate in the uploading of their latest results and applications too.
This new website is also intended to exist as a kind of “Museum of Speech Technology”, as it contains research and application data of this field from the beginning of Hungarian activity, until 2022. Additional uploads are planned until 2035, with an annual update.
