CCCC structures
Perhaps the least we know about the consonant clusters (C+C) in speech. We intend to fill this gap by publishing this database, where the acoustic details of the Hungarian consonant clusters can be studied, as well as the acoustic results of co-articulation. The database focuses mainly on consonant clusters, we present a sample word for each consonant cluster in male and female production. A special feature of this data set is that a detailed text description is published for each consonant cluster (in Hungarian). These explanations can help you in orienting among the diversity of realization of consonants in clusters. The sound connections CC, CCC, CCCC are shown in pronounced sample words. We display the speech sounds in the word with transcription signals, the sound boudaries, the waveform of the word (as a function of sound pressure in time), the frequency structure (spectrogram) where we can see the changes in the acoustic components. The internal intensity values are also displayed in time. The sample word can be listened to.
